Brent Ward serves as the Abbeville County Executive Director of Economic Development, bringing nearly two decades of experience in economic development, infrastructure, and community development. He previously served as Director of Business Development for Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc. and Design South Professionals, Inc., where he worked across the Carolinas supporting infrastructure planning, funding, and development, as well as addressing government, community, and economic development needs.
In his current role, Brent focuses on driving business growth by supporting existing industries and attracting new investment to Abbeville County. A decorated veteran of the United States Air Force, he also brings firsthand experience as a former construction company owner, giving him a practical understanding of the construction and development process.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, woodworking, home improvement and travel.
Jane Hannah, Office Manager

Jane Hannah has extensive development experience. A native of Denmark, S.C., Hannah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education from Clemson University, and she is a graduate of the S.C. Economic Developers School. She previously worked as a soil conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service and as an agricultural science teacher at Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, S.C.
Hannah completed the Basic Economic Development Course at Ga Tech, and she is a member of the S.C. Economic Developers Association.
Hannah and her husband, Chuck, have a son, Parker, and daughter, Kate.
